Minister Jevšek stresses need to safeguard key goals and principles of Cohesion Policy
The ministers in charge of Cohesion Policy met in Brussels to exchange views on the long-term impacts of Cohesion Policy on EU regions. The ministers agreed that the fundamental role of Cohesion Policy should continue to be to reduce disparities in the level of development of the various member states and regions, despite recent crises.

The Ministry of Health today prepared a conference for healthcare providers at Brdo pri Kranju. The main focus was on the novelties brought by the Urgent Measures to Maintain the stability of the health system Act (ZNUZSZS), and the Urgent measures to prevent the spread and mitigate the consequences of the infectious disease COVID-19 in healthcare Act (ZNUNBZ).

International conference on prevention of people smuggling held in Portorož

Commemoration of European Day on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse
18th November 2022 we are celebrating European Day on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse. Slovenia together with initiating countries Andorra, Belgium, Monaco and San Marino prepared a statement to mark this day for the 8th year in a row. This year, another 40 European countries, plus Mexico, have backed a joint statement.

The Traditional Slovenian Breakfast: “Breakfast with milk – a great day”
The Traditional Slovenian Breakfast project has been held in nurseries and schools every third Friday in November since 2011. This year the emphasis is on milk and dairy products, as shown by the slogan “Breakfast with milk – a great day”.

Nataša Pirc Musar will become the first woman to be president of Slovenia. The former journalist and information commissioner assumes the highest political office in the country as a lawyer with no political experience, committed to liberal values and the protection of human rights.
