    Slovenia at Expo 2025 Osaka

    On April 13, the World Expo 2025 Osaka opens in Japan. Slovenia will also be taking part at this major international event, which focuses on innovations, culture, and the economic potential of participating countries, until October 13, 2025. The agency SPIRIT Slovenia is taking care of Slovenia's participation.

    149th regular session of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia

    148th regular session of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia

    At today's session, the Government adopted a proposal for the Higher Education Act, which aims to reform the higher education system. It also approved a draft Act Amending the Matura Examination Act, aligning with the expert guidelines and objectives of the public education system, as well as a draft Act Amending the Provision of Foster Care Act, designed to improve the quality of foster care provision.

    Slovenian Film Archives at the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia keeps a sizable collection of films on mountaineering and of film footage taken during various expeditions in the Himalayas. In terms of the scope and the quality of these recordings, those taken by Aleš Kunaver really stand out. An interesting story is connected to his 1962 documentary film Nepal, which was considered lost for many years.
