Travel by train free of charge on Thursday
This year’s European Mobility Week, taking place between 16 and 22 September, is marked by a day of free rail transport organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure in cooperation with the Slovenian Railways. More than 100 Slovenian municipalities participated in this year’s European Mobility Week.

Opening of the exhibition of sculptures by Lučka Koščak in Cleveland
Within the framework of the Slovenian Days in Cleveland 2022 we opened an exhibition of sculptures in the Slovenian Museum and Archives. It is entitled "Angels" by the recently deceased Slovenian painter Lučka Koščak, who lived in Switzerland.

Ensuring the protection of the financial interests of the European Union in the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan
As the coordinating body for implementation of the Slovenian Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Office for Recovery and Resilience organised a seminar on the subject of protecting the financial interests of Slovenia and the European Union. Those attending the seminar heard from representatives of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Minister Jevšek: The 2021–2027 Cohesion Policy Programme is on the home straight
At the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the first session of the Working Group for Local Self-Government took place, consisting of the leadership representatives of all three representative municipal associations in addition to Dr Aleksander Jevšek, the Minister of Development and European Cohesion Policy, and Sanja Ajanović Hovnik, the Minister of Public Administration. The main topic of today’s session was the preparation of strategic documents for drawing European funds in the 2021–2027 period.

On the 20th of September 2022, the Republic of Slovenia, rated A3 (stable)/A (stable)/AA- (stable) reopened its 2.250% March 2032 (Mar-32) by €500mn. The new issue size totalled €3.83bn after reopening.

Government decisions at sessions of government committees
At today's meeting of the Government Committee on State Organisation and Public Affairs, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted the text of the amendments to the proposed Act Amending the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions Act (ZIKS-1H) submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia by a group deputies headed by Danijel Krivec and forwarded the amendments to the National Assembly.

Cooperation in the framework of macro-regional strategies and the potential of the sea in focus in Izola

2022 Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week kicks off
This year's edition of the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week, which is organized around the theme ''A healthy sea for a safer future'', kicked off this week in Izola. The multi-day event puts spotlight on the importance of the sea and its hinterland for future development. State Secretary at the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, mag. Marko Koprivc, delivered remarks at the opening ceremony, highlighting the importance of working together for sustainable development, and the unique role of macro-regions as platforms that facilitate collaboration.

The Republic of Slovenia is reopening euro denominated benchmarks
The Republic of Slovenia, rated A3 (stable) / AA-(stable) / A (stable), has mandated Barclays, BNP Paribas, Erste Group and J.P. Morgan to lead manage a reopening of the SLOREP benchmark due in March 2032. A potential tap of SLOREP 02/2062 and/or SLOREP 03/2081 is possible, subject to the interest of investors. The transaction will be Regulation S in dematerialized registered form.

European Mobility Week: Better connections
In 2021, 76% of residents of Slovenia (15–84 years) were daily mobile. Of the total number of trips, men made 51% and women 49%. Men were drivers of a car on 62% of their trips, while women drove on 49% of their trips.
