  • EU funding for energy renovation of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Novo mesto General Hospital

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for energy renovation of the building of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Novo mesto General Hospital. Thermal insulation of the facility’s external walls and roof, upgrade of the ventilation system and lighting, and replacement of the facility’s windows and doors will be carried out with support from the Cohesion Fund.

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project ITI KR KP between the Gosposvetska ulica street and the Bleiweisova cesta street.

  • Slovenia’s Sustainable Smart Specialisation Strategy S5 upgraded and published

    On 23 December 2021, the core group of State Secretaries discussed and approved the draft of the upgraded Smart Specialisation Strategy. Interested stakeholders and opinion givers were then invited to submit their proposals, questions and positions regarding the document by 2 February 2022.

  • State Secretary attends meeting of Development Council of Vzhodna Slovenija cohesion region

    State Secretary mag. Monika Kirbiš Rojs and representatives of the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy today attended the fourth regular meeting of the Development Council of the Vzhodna Slovenija cohesion region dedicated to the programming period 2021-2027. The meeting was held in the Youth Cultural Centre in Slovenj Gradec.

    Maribor, 7 March 2022 – Minister Zvone Černač attended the event Cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenia – yesterday, today, tomorrow, which took place in Maribor and was organised by the University of Maribor. The Minister also attended a round table, organised in the frame of the aforementioned event, titled Development challenges in the cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenija.     State Secretary mag. Monika Kirbiš Rojs attended an informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for Cohesion Policy which was held under the auspices of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU in Rouen. The meeting focused on the findings of the Eighth Report on Economic, Social and Territorial Cohesion and on the future of Cohesion Policy.

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved ERDF funding for the call for proposals Incentives for innovative start-ups in 2022 (P2 2022). The purpose of the call is to support entrepreneurship, notably by facilitating the transfer of development ideas into market-successful ventures and by supporting the creation of new innovative enterprises with growth potential.

  • EU funding for a new park and ride in Kranj

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for a new park and ride in Kranj. EU funding invested in park and ride schemes has so far resulted in altogether 1,614 parking spaces across Slovenia, of which 56 will be provided in the newly constructed Kranj park and ride facility by September this year.

  • EU funding for ageing in place safely

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the call for proposals E-care at home, which will be launched by the Ministry of Health. The funding for the call comes from the European Social Fund under the React-EU initiative.

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (GODC) and the company ZaVIta held an audio-video conference with those giving opinions regarding the strategic environmental impact assessment (SEIA) in drafting the national European Cohesion Policy 2021-2027 Programme.

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding under the European Regional Development Fund for the project Designing project documents for the connecting road of the Third Development Axis – Ravne Eastern Bypass. This is another in a series of investments, supported by EU funding, that aims to connect Slovenia.

  • React-EU funding for a stronger tourism sector in Slovenia

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the Call for proposals for investment in quality and sustainable transformation of Slovenian tourism sector to strengthen its resilience. The call will be published and managed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and supported by the European Regional Development Fund under the React-EU initiative.

  • React-EU funding for Institute of Occupational Safety of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana

    Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project COVID-19 – Arrangement of the building of the Institute of Occupational Safety of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana. The project, implemented by the Ministry of Health, will result in adequate equipment of the existing building of the former Institute of Occupational Safety of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana and will receive European Regional Development Fund support under the React-EU instrument.
