At the first ministerial conference on digital transformation, representatives of the Three Seas initiative countries agreed on the need to chart an ambitious path for economic development and competitiveness. They are convinced that this will only be possible through increased investment in digitalisation and closer cooperation in the region.

Accompanied by the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, Minister Mark Boris Andrijanič visited the Pomurje region. As part of his visit, the Minister met with secondary school students of computer science and the management of the Murska Sobota Secondary Vocational and Technical School. He became acquainted with the activities of the Pomurje Technology Park and examined the production of the high-tech VIRS company.

During his visit, the Minister visited Yaskawa Europe Robotics, met with representatives of the Bela krajina business incubator and concluded his working visit at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto.

Today, the State Secretary Peter Geršak attended the meeting of the ministers of the D9+ countries in Luxembourg. In his speech he highlighted the need to reduce the digital gap between the EU Member States.

The Minister for Digital Transformation, Mark Boris Andrijanič, paid a working visit to Brussels from 25 to 27 October, during which he also met with representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament. During his visit to Brussels, Minister Andrijanič presented the tasks of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Digital Transformation and exchanged views on the opportunities in digital transformation for the advancement of the economy and the reduction of the digital divide in society.

He visited the Koper Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, the companies Obala mobilnost and Dinit Card Service, and the Sežana Business Incubator.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mark Boris Andrijanič was on a working visit in Warsaw on 6 and 7 October 2021. The working visit coincided with one of the largest digital conferences in Central and Eastern Europe, the CEE Digital Summit. This digital summit connects the digital sector and tech companies with experts and policymakers who are working on the digital transformation of the region. At the same time, it serves as a platform for discussion on the future of the digital economy in Central and Eastern Europe, its challenges and means for a deeper digital cooperation.

In his opening address via video-conference, Mark Boris Andrijanič opened the virtual conference of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, entitled "2021 OECD Business and Finance Outlook on AI". The conference took place on Friday, 24 September 2021.

On Thursday, Minister Andrijanič delivered an opening address at the conference "Leaders’ Dialogue: How Can We Create a Region of Mavericks, Unicorns, and Global Winners?", which was held as part of the sixth Slovenia Business Bridge Investment and Development Conference.

The topic of the conversation was the search for solutions in the field of improving digital skills in the Republic of Slovenia and the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. These will make it possible to simplify the user experience of citizens in the near future.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mark Boris Andrijanič today had a meeting with President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor.

At its 87th regular session, the Slovenian Government issued the Ordinance on the establishment and competences of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Digital Transformation.

In cooperation with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development - OECD, a special webinar was held today, at which the key findings of the OECD review of digital public administration were presented - Digital Government Review of Slovenia: Leading the digitalization of the public sector - Key findings. The findings from the document were presented to the stakeholders who participated in its creation.
