  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 2020 Enlargement Package

    Yesterday, the European Commission published the Enlargement Package for the Western Balkan countries and Turkey, which provides an overview and assessment of the situation across key areas of the necessary reform progress, with recommendations for further rapprochement with the EU.

  • 11 July – Srebrenica Memorial Day

    This year marks 25 years since one of the heinous crimes was committed at the heart of Europe in plain sight of the international community. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Court of Justice determined that the massacre at Srebrenica constituted genocide. In 2009, the European Parliament adopted a resolution declaring 11 July Srebrenica Memorial Day.

  • PM Šarec: The deployment of Slovenian soldiers in missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina makes a significant contribution to preserving regional peace and stability

    Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Šarec is currently on a two-day working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. On the first day he met with members of the Slovenian contingent in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are working as part of EUFOR’s Operation Althea and the NATO forces in Sarajevo.

  • Ljubljana hosts high Western Balkan participants

    An international conference on the public administration challenges facing the Western Balkan countries is taking place in Ljubljana these days. The conference is organized by ReSPA (Regional School of Public Administration), and this year is hosted by the Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration.

  • State Secretary Dobran Božič attends Ministerial Meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process

    Dobran Božič, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the ministerial meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEEPC) held in Sarajevo on 7 and 8 July. A Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) annual meeting was organised on the margins of the ministerial meeting.
