Political relations
Diplomatic relations between Slovenia and Türkiye were established 26 August 1992. Strategic Partnership between Slovenia and Türkiye was signed on 3 March 2011 on the occasion of the official visit of Primer Minister Borut Pahor to Türkiye. With the agreement both countries showed the willingness for strengthening the mutual friendly relations, together with the Slovenian support for the Turkish EU membership. The Strategic partnership gives a new framework for mutual cooperation, especially in the filed of economics.
