The main event with two high-level panels will take place on Monday, 2 October 2023, in Ljubljana. The morning session will focus on the challenges of development cooperation with partner countries, and the afternoon session on humanitarian action. The development panels will bring together high-level guests from the European Union, international organisations, the European Confederation of NGOs, and representatives of the domestic expert community to discuss new visions and partnerships for development cooperation at a time of growing global crises and threats to peace, security and respect for human rights. The afternoon will see the launch of the inaugural Slovenian Humanitarian Forum. Local and international guests will present their experiences of humanitarian action on the ground and suggest ways to empower Slovenian humanitarian actors to respond more effectively to humanitarian crises in the world, both alone and in partnership.

3 October will be devoted to discussions on private sector involvement in development cooperation and a presentation of the Global Gateway Strategy. As part of the Slovenian Development Days, from 4 to 6 October, the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), an international organisation based in Ljubljana, will host at its headquarters the annual meeting of learn4dev, an international network of development organisations. The first week of October will also see the opening of an open-air exhibition presenting the "faces" of Slovenian development cooperation, which will be on display until mid-November.

The Slovenian Development Days aim to raise public awareness about the importance of development cooperation and humanitarian aid in Slovenia. The 11th Slovenian Development Days event is organised by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in cooperation with the SLOGA Platform, Caritas Slovenia and the CEF, and within the framework of the Fund for Bilateral Relations of the Norwegian financial mechanism.
