Slovenian President signs decree on appointment of Ambassador to Israel

On 12 July, the President of the Republic of Slovenia signed a decree on the appointment of Andreja Purkart Martinez as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to the State of Israel.
Andreja Purkart Martinez has been employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1995, and currently serves as Head of the Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, Central Asia and thee Arctic. During her career, she has served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Slovenian Embassy in Moscow, Deputy Head of Mission at the Slovene Embassy in The Hague, and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Slovenia at the OPCW, Deputy Head of the EU Law Section at the Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and also worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Washington.
