The Slovenia-wide campaign THE TIME IS NOW. My Slovenia as motivation to holiday at home
UKOM, which takes care of and manages the national brand I feel Slovenia on behalf of Slovenia, is pleased to join the partnership in the campaign in which so many other partners participate, from the tourism sector, associations and destinations to influential individuals.
At a time when measures are being eased and restrictions are being lifted also in tourism, renewed optimism is growing among the public. The campaign is focused on all Slovenians, calling upon them to holiday at home, explore Slovenia and share their experiences. After all, the I feel Slovenia brand tells a story of how one can feel Slovenia with all their senses. And now is the time to take time and explore, sense and feel our Slovenia, and share our experiences with others, also by using the hastags #mojaslovenija and #ifeelslovenia.
Slovenia remains a very safe country and can offer a holiday or just an experience in unspoiled nature, with fine cuisine, high standards, numerous sports activities and great cultural experiences. Now is the time to (re)discover our homeland!
To make it easier to find service providers, the STO has prepared a number of communication tools on the I Feel Slovenia social networks, on a special landing page of the slovenia.info website and in special newsletters. Slovenians are also invited to spend their holiday in and explore Slovenia by the promotional video Now is the time for you, my Slovenia, which brings Slovenia closer to us as a land of unspoiled nature and unique experiences. It is a call for optimism, care for the local and domestic, and for mutual solidarity. The tourism sector is already advertising tourist packages as part of the campaign, in addition to offering many attractive prizes.
"Slovenia is a stunningly beautiful and green, hospitable, safe destination with a variety of opportunities for active outdoor recreation. It is ideal for individual experiences, far away from the crowds. I am delighted that the campaign has been embraced by all key stakeholders in Slovenian tourism – the media, ambassadors, influential individuals and all important institutions active in tourism," says STO director Maja Pak. According to Ms Pak, the current situation is an opportunity to get to know better one's country, its history and culture, and the many stories told by destinations throughout Slovenia.
As part of the THE TIME IS NOW. My Slovenia campaign, UKOM will create own content and everyone is warmly invited to follow our posts at slovenia.si and on our social networks. So look for the hashtags #mojaslovenija and #ifeelslovenia.
