Today, at a ceremony taking place between Ljubljana and Paris, Slovenia received its first Michelin guide, also known as the Red Bible. A total of 52 restaurants received Michelin awards; the aforementioned six restaurants boast the most coveted stars, nine of them received the Bib Gourmand award for excellent cuisine at affordable prices and 37 the Michelin Plate award.

The Michelin guide will make it even easier for those looking for the best in cuisine to find Slovenia, highlighted Maja Pak, director of the Slovenian Tourist Board.

Minister of the Economy Zdravko Počivalšek said that Slovenian tourism was again ready to welcome tourists from all over the world after the COVID-19 epidemic. "Michelin stars are one more reason to visit our beautiful country," he added.
