15th BSF to take place on 31 August 2020
This year, the one-day event will run under the title “Challenges and Opportunities in the Post-COVID–19 World; Neighbours – Regions – Global World: Partners or Rivals?” The conference will be organised as a hybrid event, with a high-level segment taking place on-site while some discussions will be held online.
In addition to the familiar livestreamed sessions, a strong digital component of this year’s conference will open the possibility of online participation allowing us to host speakers who are unable to travel to Bled in person, and to stimulate virtual audience engagement.
Based on a joint assessment by healthcare professionals, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia declared the end of the COVID-19 epidemic as of 15 May, making Slovenia the first country in Europe to take this step.
The favourable epidemiological situation led to the easing of some of the measures to contain and control COVID-19, but they could not be lifted in full and some of the general and specific measures, including those related to in-door gatherings, will continue to apply also in the following months. As organisers, we therefore decided to adapt this year’s edition of the Bled Strategic Forum.
A select list of on-site invitees will receive personal invitations by e-mail. Other participants will be able to join us online. Detailed information on how to connect will be published in due course on our website and our social media channels.
Stay safe and stay healthy while we already look towards the 2021 Bled Strategic Forum and hope to be able to welcome you all in person again.
