EU funding for the sewerage system in the municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica

Ljubljana, 15 July 2020 - Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a grant decision for the project “Drainage and treatment of wastewater in the Soča river basin - Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica”. The project worth more than EUR 657,000, which will be implemented by the Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica, will receive Cohesion Fund support in the amount of a little less than EUR 197,000.
The project will upgrade the existing system of drainage and wastewater treatment in the municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica within the Miren agglomeration, which will increase the level of connection to the public sewerage network to 99.03 percent.
With the investment, an additional 149 population units will be connected to the drainage and water treatment system. According to the current situation, 113 inhabitants will receive better wastewater treatment. The implementation of the project will ensure greater connection to the economic public infrastructure of wastewater collection and treatment.
