Minister Logar hosts farewell meeting for Japanese Ambassador Yoshida

Today, Foreign Minister Dr Anže Logar received a farewell call from the Ambassador of Japan to Slovenia, Masaharu Yoshida, at the end of his two-year term of office.
The two officials reaffirmed the excellent and friendly relations between the two countries. They agreed that Japan was becoming a strategic partner of the European Union and an ever more important political partner for Slovenia.
Minister Logar commended the excellent cooperation in economy, particularly in investments in Slovenia, which are in terms of their number and wider impact in the region, an important pillar of Slovenia’s breakthrough in high technology.
Thanking Ambassador Yoshida for his active role in enhancing cooperation between the two countries and deepening business ties and cultural exchanges, the Foreign Minister wished him every success and all the best for the future.
