This year’s European Mobility Week promotes clean mobility and sustainable urban transport, with events focusing on kindergartens, and primary and secondary schools as very few pupils and students walk or cycle to school.

A third of the primary energy is consumed in transport which is also one of the biggest and most dispersed users of non-renewable energy sources. The aim of sustainable mobility is to meet the mobility needs of people and at the same time reduce traffic and its harmful consequences.
