Visa Waiver Agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports signed between Slovenia and Mongolia
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On 15 October, State Secretary Gašper Dovžan and Ambassador of Mongolia Gankhuurai Battungalag signed the Visa Waiver Agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports, the first agreement signed between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
To facilitate and strengthen bilateral relations with Mongolia, the conclusion of the agreement was proposed by Slovenia on the basis of the EU Regulation that allows the Member States to define exemptions from visa requirement for holders of diplomatic, service and other status passports.
The agreement is the first bilateral agreement concluded following the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations in February 1993, and is aimed at facilitating direct contacts between the two countries.
