Two gems from the Posočje region
The article highlights the story of chef Ana Roš from her beginnings, the creation of her unique style, integration with local providers and the search for inspiration in her own garden. It also features accommodation facilities that are elegantly incorporated into the upper part of the house, and the delicious-smelling breakfast with freshly baked bread. As a special experience, Hiša Polonka is mentioned, which is the brainchild of Ana Roš and an offspring of Hiša Franko. The article ends with the thought that Hiša Franko is certainly worth visiting.
In November, in the print issue of the prestigious German travel magazine GEO Saison, another gem of the Posočje region was featured over 13 pages, i.e. the Soča River Valley.
The Soča River, described by the authors as the "blue gem of the Alps", is showcased as a unique river in Europe with pristine and intact nature. The entire feature is accompanied by exceptional photographs by the accomplished photographer Bettina Theuerkauf. In cooperation with the Slovenian Tourist Board Representative Office in Germany, the reporters began their journey at the spring of the Soča River and continued through the scenic landscape along the river. Other sights along the Soča were also mentioned, such as the Kozjak Waterfall and Kobarid with the world-renowned chef Ana Roš of Hiša Franko. The historical background of the Soča River Valley was highlighted, too. The coverage ends with an overview of a few providers in the valley. With one of its destinations, Slovenia thus once again addresses German readers who will be inspired to visit their new dream destinations and indulge in experiences once travelling is made possible again.
