At its correspondence session today, the Government issued the Ordinance amending the Ordinance on imposing and implementing measures for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 at the border crossing points at the external and internal borders of the Republic of Slovenia. The following countries, for example, have been added to the red list: Andorra, the whole of Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Hungary, Spain, the Vatican, San Marino, Italy (with the exception of the Calabria administrative unit) and Serbia.
Furthermore, it amended the ordinance on the temporary partial restriction of movement of people. Hence, the statement is no longer required for persons travelling to or from work, or for the performance of urgent work duties or the elimination of immediate threats to health, life and property. Nevertheless, they must carry with them proof, such as a travel form, contract or any other proof of their employer or where they will perform their work duties. Minor offence proceedings may be conducted by municipal wardens.
In the Ordinance amending the Ordinance on the temporary prohibition of offering and selling goods and services to consumers in the Republic of Slovenia, the following exceptions have been added:
- shops selling primarily technical goods,
- specialised children’s shops,
- specialised shops selling motor vehicles and motorcycles,
- shops selling primarily furniture,
- pedicure, and
- photo services, photocopying, watchmaker’s and goldsmith’s.
The Slovenian Government took note of the assessment of the expert group for the containment and control of the COVID-19 epidemic at the Ministry of Health as regards the expert justification of measures for the containment and control of COVID-19 and decided to extend the measures and restrictions under the ordinances on the gathering of people in educational institutions, and on the hand disinfection dispensers in apartment buildings.
