Today, State Secretary Stanislav Raščan held a video call with Minister for Foreign Trade and Nordic Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Anna Hallberg.

The two high officials reaffirmed the good relations between the two countries and advocated for constructive cooperation during Slovenia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2021, including in relation to Sweden's OSCE, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Chairmanship this year.
They discussed the current developments and issues in the EU’s trade policy, and talked about Sweden's candidate for the position of Secretary-General of the OECD, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Cecilia Malmström.
