At the meeting, the state secretary and the Polish ambassador called for further good cooperation between the two countries in the field of the environment and space. They also touched upon the main topics that will be at the forefront during the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of the year, such as biodiversity, decarbonisation, combating climate change and the circular economy. They agreed that the green transition and decarbonisation pose a major challenge for both EU countries and the EU as a whole in relation to the rest of the world.
