EU funding for a cycling connection between Muta, Vuzenica and Gortina
- Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy
As part of the project, Slovenian Infrastructure Agency intends to provide a 3.03-kilometre long cycling connection, of which a 1.79-kilometre long stretch will be newly built. Physically separated, well-maintained, high quality functional cycling routes will ensure safe cycling between industrial zone Muta and school centre and the settlements Vuzenica and Muta.
The project aims to support and spur the uptake of sustainable mobility in Municipality Muta and in the wider area. The newly provided set of interconnected routes will contribute to delivering on the goal of sustainable mobility in Koroška region, by ensuring better air quality and reducing noise levels and by improving mobility for regional residents and improving accessibility to individual areas and services.
