State Secretary Dovžan holds talks with Parliamentary Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta

State Secretary Gašper Dovžan held talks with the Parliamentary Secretary within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi. State Secretary Dovžan briefed his counterpart on the fast approaching Slovenian EU Council Presidency.
They endorsed the EU perspective of the Western Balkans, as well as dialogue and constructive cooperation with the countries in the wider neighbourhood. State Secretary Dovžan and Parliamentary Secretary Zrinzo Azzopardi paid particular attention to the external and internal dimensions of migration, including in relation to developments in the Eastern Mediterranean. They agreed that the EU has been facing important challenges of late, requiring discussions on strengthening resilience to various types of crisis, recovery and strategic autonomy. State Secretary Dovžan underlined the importance of an inclusive, ambitious and transparent debate in the framework of the Conference of the Future of Europe.
