Vaccinated-tested-recovered rule not required for transit and international transport until 15 August 2021
- Government of the Republic of Slovenia
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of the Interior
With the amendments to the ordinance, the two exceptions (transit and international transport), which are currently valid up to and including 14 July 2021, shall apply up to and including 15 August 2021. The provision allowing entry into Slovenia without a home quarantine order and without compliance with the vaccinated-tested-recovered rule has been extended for these two exceptions up to and including 15 August 2021.
Therefore, entry into Slovenia without a home quarantine order and without compliance with the vaccinated-tested-recovered rule up to and including 15 August 2021 is possible for:
- persons posted to carry out tasks in international transport or returning from such tasks who prove this at the time of crossing the border by means of a Certificate for International Transport Workers from Annex 3 of the Communication from the Commission on the implementation of the Green Lanes under the Guidelines for border management measures to protect health and ensure the availability of goods and essential services (OJ C No. 96 of 24 March 2020, p. 1), or another appropriate document from which shows that these persons were posted by their employer;
- persons transiting the territory of Slovenia and exiting Slovenia in the shortest possible time or within 12 hours of entry.
A person claiming any of the exceptions must provide the police with evidence of the existence of the exceptions, otherwise they will be ordered to quarantine at home. Foreigners who are not a residents of Slovenia will only be allowed to enter by being ordered into a 10-day quarantine at home if they can prove beyond any doubt that they have a guaranteed place to quarantine, otherwise their entry into Slovenia will be denied.
The purpose of the extension of these exceptions is to enable persons who work in international transport and persons in transit to prepare for the new uniform conditions of entry into Slovenia.
