EU funding for renovating the Koper bus station

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project Renovation of the Bus Station in Koper. The project worth a little under EUR 2.5 million and implemented by the Urban Municipality Koper will receive a good EUR 900 thousand of Cohesion Fund support.
As part of the project, Urban Municipality Koper will completely renovate the Koper bus station. The investment covers the arrangement of an overarching roof, a roadway, bicycle parking stations, a parking lot for short-term parking of buses, and a taxicab stand. The municipality also plans to construct a building nearby with areas for administrative purposes and passengers.
With the said project, the municipality aims to improve the functionality and appearance of the bus station and thus promote the use of public passenger transport.
