State Secretary Dr Stanislav Raščan held talks with Sergei Cheryomin, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations. The officials confirmed good relations between the two countries and wide-ranging cooperation in the economic, cultural, scientific, educational and other sectors.

To strengthen economic cooperation, the officials underlined the importance of continued activities within the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and advocated the organisation of the next meeting. State Secretary Dr Raščan noted that the establishment of a scheduled flight connection between Ljubljana and Moscow would enhance the countries’ cooperation even further. Moscow Government Minister Cheryomin confirmed the positive cooperation of the city of Moscow with Slovenia and presented the city’s candidature to host World Expo 2030.
