EU funding for wastewater infrastructure in the Drava River basin

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project Wastewater collection and treatment in the Drava River basin – Municipality Hoče-Slivnica. The project will receive Cohesion Fund support and will result in established wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure in the area of Radizela and Spodnje Hoče.
As part of the project, municipality Hoče-Slivnica intends to construct the needed wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure in the agglomerations Radizel and Spodnje Hoče with both having over 2,000 population units. 2,782 inhabitants of the two areas will benefit from improved wastewater collection. The project will result in increased connection to the public wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure, namely a 98.49% connection level in the agglomeration Spodnje Hoče and a 98.5% connection level in the agglomeration Radizel. Approximately 20 kilometres of sewage network that will be connected to the main wastewater treatment plant Maribor, will be constructed. The project is planned to be completed by summer 2023.
