Government’s decision to provide Ukraine with material assistance
In light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which puts the Ukrainian population at risk, the Slovenian government made a decision at today’s correspondence session to provide Ukraine with material assistance in the form of IP phones, computer equipment, gas generators, antennas and cables, and to do so via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The value of the assistance, including transport, is estimated at EUR 179,165.83.
The provision of assistance and the realisation of the adopted decision will be coordinated by the Ministry of Defence – Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief.
On 15 February 2022, the competent Ukrainian body turned to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism – the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC), requesting international assistance due to Russia’s attack on the country, which endangers all who live there.
Material assistance for Ukraine is specified as follows:
- IP phones – 100 pieces,
- computer equipment – 40 sets of desktop computers complete with monitors, keyboards and mice, and 60 laptops,
- gas generators – 60 pieces,
- antennas – 2,000 pieces,
