They discussed bilateral relations, the situation in the Middle East and Afghanistan, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its consequences for the wider international community.

The relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the State of Qatar are friendly, with no unresolved issues. Regular dialogue takes place at both high and working levels. The official visit was an opportunity to promote cooperation in their respective economies, especially regarding energy. Namely, there is untapped economic potential between Qatar and Slovenia. Economic cooperation between the two countries is limited primarily to trade in goods, while Qatar's major development plans for the next ten years will create business opportunities for Slovenian companies as well.
