Prime Minister Robert Golob receives EU Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms Elisa Ferreira
At the beginning of September 2022, the European Commission adopted the Partnership Agreement between Slovenia and the European Commission for the period 2021–2027, on the basis of which Slovenia will be able to benefit from EUR 3.26 billion of EU cohesion policy funds during said period. Slovenia intends to invest primarily in green and digital transformation, competitiveness, and social cohesion, areas which are also among the Government’s priorities. Well-thought-out and efficient use of EU funds is of particular importance in the context of the energy crisis, as it can contribute to addressing economic and social challenges brought about thereby.
Slovenia has already received almost EUR 11 billion of cohesion funding since its accession to the European Union, which has contributed to the country’s economic and social development.
