Ambassador Alenka Suhadolnik presented the letter of credence to the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn
On 3 October, the Slovenian Ambassador to China, designated to Thailand, Alenka Suhadolnik, was honored to present her Letter of Credence to His Majesty the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn. The protocol ceremony of handing over the Letters of Credence of the non-resident ambassadors took place in the Ambara Villa, Dusit Palace. The ceremony included also the meeting with H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Suhadolnik's first visit to Thailand was an opportunity for meetings at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including with the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakd. She also held various meetings with the diplomatic and business representatives, working in Thailand.
In her discussions at the Thai Ministry of Foreign, Affairs Ambassador Suhadolnik reaffirmed Slovenia's commitment to enhance relations and cooperation with Thailand in the light of this year's 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. There is vast potential to strengthen the relations in many areas, such as trade, transport, new technologies, as well as wider issues of sustainable and green development. Ambassador Suhadolnik also highlighted the good cooperation between the countries in the multilateral system and emphasized importance of the EU-Thailand relations.
Together with Ms. Phatra Putipanpong, the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia, Ambassador Suhadolnik also met with the group of Slovenian citizens living in Bangkok.
