Before the opening, done by Consul General Alenka Jerak, Global Cleveland President Joe Cimperman and Director of the Cleveland Public Library Felton Thomas, there was a discussion on urban planning and architecture, in which the current urban design of Ljubljana was presented by dr. Liljana Jankovič Grobelšek, Head of the Section for spatial planning acts of the Department for Spatial Planning of the Municipality of Ljubljana, and the architect Plečnik and his work by an American historian living in Slovenia and the author of the book "Eternal Architect" dr. Noah Charney.
