The prime minister meets the newly elected president, Nataša Pirc Musar
In a long conversation they exchanged views and positions on many subjects, including foreign policy. “The current president has been exceptionally active in this domain and was very successful in promoting Slovenia’s interests and raising its profile abroad. I am convinced that our country will continue to be well represented in future too," said the prime minister.
They also discussed how certain challenges such as encouraging social dialogue on climate change, hate speech, etc., should be addressed in a joint manner. Prime Minister Robert Golob expressed his satisfaction at sharing the same values with the newly elected president: “We concluded that our cooperation will certainly be very beneficial and fruitful, and will improve society’s wellbeing."
The prime minister and the newly elected president called on Slovenia’s citizens to participate in the referendums to be held on 27 November 2022.
