The Government agrees to the proposed amendments to the amended State Administration Act
The proposed amendments also seek to complete the legal basis for the provision of an address for electronic service of documents in the context of the electronic register of documentary material.
The measure of transferring local competences between administrative units will result in the faster resolution of cases and reduced backlogs (which is a particular problem in larger administrative units operating in regional, urban, commercial and university centres), while from the point of view of public interest, it is about ensuring the lawfulness of the actions of administrative authorities, the efficiency of administrative authorities and the prevention of damage or the incurrence of liability for damages by the State resulting from illegal (or unlawful or untimely) actions by public authorities.
The proposed amendment on the provision of an address for electronic service in the context of the electronic register of documentary material also aims to speed up the procedures that service users carry out before the authorities. This is achieved as the proposed amendment extends the address for service of documents to an electronic address for service.
