Today, on 13 July 2023, the National Assembly took note of the resignation of Danijel Bešič Loredan as Minister of Health, which also terminated his term of office. At the same time, the members of the National Assembly also took note of the fact that the Health Ministry will be temporarily headed by the Prime Minister, Dr Robert Golob. The renewal of the health system in Slovenia will therefore continue uninterrupted.

With the resignation of the Minister of Health, the function also ceased for State Secretaries mag. Tadej Ostrc, Tjaša Vidic and Azra Herceg. The latter was reappointed as State Secretary. The Government also appointed Dr Valentina Prevolnik Rupel and Marjan Pintar as State Secretaries at the Ministry of Health.
