Slovenia makes additional humanitarian contribution for Gaza
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached an alarming level, marked by a severe scarcity of basic necessities such as water, food and medicine, which poses a grave threat to the lives of the local population. Critical infrastructure is also at risk.
Slovenia’s latest contribution is an extension of its ongoing commitment to humanitarian aid, including support provided through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees earlier this year. Slovenia has contributed a total of EUR 950,000 in humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza in 2023.
Slovenia also joins calls for an end to violence and the protection of civilian lives. It underlines the importance of establishing humanitarian pauses and corridors to facilitate the swift distribution of critical aid.
