EU funding for multigenerational centres’ projects
Under the EU co-funded call for proposals, co-financing will be allocated to multigenerational centres+’ projects, which will provide various prevention programmes for families, individual family members, older people, and other vulnerable groups. These projects will prevent social exclusion by integrating vulnerable target groups into the local settings, empowerment through accessible, diverse and quality prevention actions and activities, intergenerational networking and cooperation of vulnerable target groups. The call for proposals also aims to provide information on activities and topics relevant to the target groups, provide assistance and advice and strengthen networking between public institutions, NGOs, social enterprises, municipalities and other potential stakeholders in each geographical unit. These activities will contribute to improving the quality of life of the target groups and preventing their social exclusion and poverty. The services will be free of charge for the users and will be available throughout the entire duration of the projects.
The Call for proposals to co-finance multigenerational centres+’ projects is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, under the priority Long-term care and health, and social inclusion, and pursues the specific objective Promoting social integration of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, including the most deprived persons and children.
The project is worth EUR 24,474,416.00, with the European Social Fund Plus contributing EUR 17.5 million, specifically EUR 17,499,207.29.
The call for proposals, which will contribute to meeting the objectives set under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, will be published by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on Friday, 15 March 2024.
