Ambassador Mirošič attended a meeting with Ambassador Michele Sison at the U.S. Department of State
On March 15, 2024 Ambassador to the USA Iztok Mirošič attended an informal coffee reception at the U.S. Department of State. The reception was hosted by the Assistant Secretary for International Organization Affairs, Ambassador Michele Sison.
Ambassadors and diplomats of the non-permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council - Algeria, Ecuador, Guyana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Korea and Switzerland attended the meeting. Slovenia took up non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council on January 1st, 2024 and became a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the second time in its history.
"It was a pleasure to join esteemed members of the diplomatic corps from elected member states of the United Nations Security Council. Such gatherings strengthen bonds and foster fruitful dialogue", concluded Ambassador Mirošič.
