In his address, the Prime Minister said that we are seeing more and more investment in modern technologies in newer industries. "Today we can see, however, how the green breakthrough and digital transformation are important even for traditional industries such as paper," he added.

He stressed that if Europe wants to remain globally competitive, it must base its development on local sources of both energy and knowledge. "Development must be based on investment in innovation, knowledge, the green transition and the digitalisation of business," said the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Golob pointed out that "two years ago, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia decided to significantly increase funding for research, development and innovation on the one hand, and for renewable energy and the green breakthrough on the other. The investment we are witnessing today confirms this," concluded Prime Minister Golob.
