As part of this EU-funded project, the Public Procurement Directorate at the Ministry of Public Administration will work to improve the capability level of the public procurement staff through a training program called Public Procurement Academy and through a series of specialised conferences and other capacity building activities. The project will provide users with support and assistance in all stages of procurement procedures. This support and assistance will later be upgraded into a procurement support centre. Additionally, new modalities will be developed for the e-JN information system, which is a nation-wide procurement system supporting the management of procurement procedures used by both contracting authorities and economic operators. It will pursue specific objective Promoting lifelong learning, in particular flexible upskilling and reskilling opportunities for all taking into account entrepreneurial and digital skills, better anticipating change and new skills requirements based on labour market needs, facilitating career transitions and promoting professional mobility.

The project is worth a total of 2,055,784.80 euros; it will receive 1,747,417.08 euros from the European Social Fund Plus.
