In his address, Prime Minister Golob expressed his gratitude to all those working in education with dedication and selflessness. He emphasised that knowledge was one of the Government's top priorities. "Knowledge is something that begins in kindergarten and continues through primary and secondary school, college, university, and all the way to employment. That is why we have reinforced our commitment with additional financial resources and concrete legislative measures," the Prime Minister stated.

"We recognise that reforming education also means reforming the school system, particularly in terms of curricula. This process is already underway, and many of you are actively involved," the Prime Minister said in his address, also touching on the public sector salary reform. "I am especially proud to be here today because, for the first time in 15 years, the Government has successfully negotiated the salary system reform with the trade unions, including your union, which is one of the most important," he stated. He added that everyone would benefit from the reform.

"We have implemented a system where salaries will continuously increase," the Prime Minister said, noting that this adjustment would now be automatic. "We are aware of the shortage of teachers and the fact that a significant portion of your generation will be retiring in the coming years. That is why we have prepared a specific part of the salary reform aimed at creating more attractive conditions for younger employees, allowing them to integrate more easily, with faster promotion opportunities for the most ambitious," he added, referring to the public sector salary reform. The Prime Minister also emphasised that experienced mentor workers would not be overlooked.

"I believe that the reform will bring greater satisfaction in terms of pay and will motivate the sector to continue evolving, gaining greater appreciation from the broader population. You will also receive the recognition you deserve from society for the mission you are fulfilling today with such heart," the Prime Minister emphasised. He added that he believes this is a step in the right direction.

Prime Minister Golob congratulated all the award recipients, acknowledging both their exceptional achievements and their lifetime contributions. "You are an inspiration to all of us. I am proud of you, and you should be proud of yourselves. You are the foundation upon which the entire development of our society rests. Without knowledge, there can be no development, and you are the first in line to pass on this knowledge," the Prime Minister said, expressing his gratitude to the teachers.
