In his address, Prime Minister Golob praised Borut Sajovic, the candidate for the post of Minister of Defence, as one of Slovenia's most experienced politicians. "He has been active not only in the National Assembly, but also at the local level, as well as working for many years as a veterinarian." Throughout this time, he has remained closely connected with people, which gives him a valuable perspective as a minister," the Prime Minister said. Speaking about Vinko Logaj, the candidate for Minister of Education, the Prime Minister highlighted his long-standing experience in education. "He began his career as a teacher. For many years, he was the headmaster of Cirius Kamnik, where he worked with children with special needs, some of the most vulnerable groups. He was also the Director of the National Education Institute for many years and played a key role in curriculum reform and its implementation. As Minister of Education, he will be well placed to take forward the challenges he set out at the National Education Institute," said Prime Minister Golob.

In a press statement, he praised outgoing ministers Marjan Šarec and Darjo Felda for their excellent work and expressed his satisfaction with the new candidates, who bring with them significant experience, political wisdom and expertise in their respective fields. "I believe that the new ministers will not only continue the work already underway, but will also introduce further improvements in the implementation of policies. As they have emphasised, their priorities are clear: on the one hand, to strengthen the education system by all possible means – reforming the curriculum, securing investments and tackling the pay system in education; and on the other, modernising the Armed Forces with a greater focus on building resilience," the Prime Minister said. He also emphasised that the Ministry of Defence and civil protection efforts will help build resilience to climate change and the climate crisis. "I am confident that the new ministers will do an excellent job."

Prime Minister Golob announced that Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič would temporarily assume the role of the Minister for Digital Transformation. "The reason is quite simple. Slovenia is in the final stages of talks to secure substantial European funding for the installation of a supercomputer or the creation of data centre in Maribor. As Minister Boštjančič has already been involved in these talks, I would like him to make it his main task to ensure that this funding is secured and that this centre becomes operational as planned," said the Prime Minister. He added, "I have interviewed several candidates for the post, but they all need some time before they can take up the post. We will decide on the best candidate next month."
