The National Assembly adopts a Resolution on the National Programme for Protection against Natural and Other Disasters
On Wednesday, 30 October, the National Assembly adopted the Resolution on the National Programme for Protection against Natural and Other Disasters 2024–2030.
The purpose of the National Programme is to establish and implement efficient measures to control all kinds of natural and other disasters. The Programme's objectives include reducing the number of accidents, victims and accident consequences, while strengthening personal and societal resilience. This will be achieved through measures to prevent disasters, reduce their frequency, scope and intensity, improve preparedness, and strengthen response capabilities, as well as through a disaster recovery development-based approach.
The adoption of the National Programme marks a milestone in the reform process under the Recovery and Resilience Plan – Strengthening preparedness and response to climate-related disasters.
