EU funding for the call for proposals to strengthen social dialogue
The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the call for proposals to strengthen social dialogue. The aim of the call is to strengthen the capacity of the social partners to cooperate more effectively in the design and implementation of policies in the fields of labour market, lifelong learning and improving the working environment.
The call for proposals aims to support projects that will improve the quality of social dialogue and establish better working conditions and longer working lives for employees. The co-financed projects will enable the social partners to carry out various activities, including:
- analyses and studies on social dialogue, industrial relations and the labour market,
- support for the establishment of expert bodies and models for the exchange of good practice,
- training and education on the labour market, industrial relations, lifelong learning and health and safety at work,
- working with the private sector, NGOs and public institutions to find innovative systemic solutions for more efficient functioning of the labour market and legal protection of employees,
- developing workers’ participation in governance at different levels,
- setting up social partners’ centres for the peaceful settlement of disputes,
- informing and raising awareness of employers, employees and the unemployed about labour law and rights (publications, handbooks, e-learning, information material for young people).
The target groups are managers, employees, members of the social partners and the professional and general public. The European Social Fund Plus will contribute 1,618,750 euros for the call for proposals worth 2,500,000 euros.
The call for proposals is expected to be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on Friday, 14 March 2025.
