  • Workshop on New Technologies and Cybersecurity for Western Balkans Professionals in Podgorica

    The Government Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Information Security (GISO) organized a workshop in Podgorica, bringing together cybersecurity experts from Western Balkan countries. The event, which took place on November 6 and 7, was hosted by the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C).

  • Workshop for woman in cybersecurity

    The Government Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Information Security (GISO) organized a workshop in Podgorica for female experts from Western Balkan countries, employed in the field of cybersecurity in the private, public, and academic sectors. The event took place between September 30 and October 1, hosted by the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C).

  • WB3C Training for Information Security Officers in Critical Infrastructure and Government Bodies

    Slovenia organised a training for Information Security Officers (CISO) in critical infrastructure and state administration. The activity took place in Podgorica from 20 to 22 November within the framework of the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C). The activity was organised and financially supported by the Slovenian Government Information Security Office (URSIV) and brought together 19 representatives from all six Western Balkan countries.

  • Protecting critical infrastructure from cyber-attacks

    The Information Security Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, in cooperation with Microsoft, the Euro-Atlantic Council of Slovenia and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, held a series of four events dedicated to different sectors of critical infrastructure in 2021 – water, energy, health and finances.

  • Memorandum of understanding in the field of cyber security signed between Slovenia and Ukraine

    A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 27 July 2022 in Kyiv between the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Information Security and the Administration of the State Service of Ukraine for Special Communications and Cyber Security Data Protection.

  • Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Cyber Threats

    On 26 July, 2022 in New York, the Slovenian mission to the UN hosted a hybrid event entitled Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Cyber Threats: An Analysis of Appropriate Regulation, Good Practices, International Law and Norms, prepared by the Government Information Security Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Microsoft.

  • Bled Cybersecurity Conference

    As part of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Government Information Security Office, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organised a cybersecurity conference in Bled on 3 September 2021, which was held in a hybrid form.

  • The Information Security Administration of the Republic of Slovenia was transformed into the Government Information Security Office

    The Government Information Security Office, which succeeded the Information Security Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, was established on 20 July 2021 and became operational on 31 July 2021. The Government Information Security Office is the competent national authority in the field of information and cyber security.
