On March 6th, 2025 Ambassador Iztok Mirošič and Congressman Paul Gosar met for a meeting, where they discussed about possibilities in strengthening the economic bilateral cooperation between Slovenia and USA & Arizona.

On Januar 30th, 2025 ambassador Iztok Mirošič attended the 2025 Ambassador Reception hosted by Washington D.C.'s Mayor Muriel Bowser.

Ambassador Iztok Mirošič visited Colorado state between January 22 - 24, 2025, where he officially inaugurated consulate of the Republic of Slovenia. He met with Colorado Governor Jared Polis at the State Capitol in Denver and members of the Colorado National Guard. He also visited the headquarters of the U.S. Space Command in Colorado Springs, town of Pueblo and toured the Pueblo Community College.

The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, attended the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels, where participants discussed further support for Ukraine, EU-US relations following the inauguration of Donald Trump and the situation in the Middle East. The agenda also covered developments in Georgia, Moldova and the deteriorating situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

On December 10, 2024, the Ambassador hosted a reception for the Slovenian community in Washington on the occasion of the 34th Day of Slovenian Independence and Unity. Photographer Alenka Slavinec organized the opening of a photography exhibition about Lipizzaner horses, whose story is inseparably connected to Operation Cowboy, which enabled some of the horses to return to Lipica.

At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Robert Golob and his partner Tina Gaber attended the inauguration of the renovated Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris yesterday.

The American Slovenian Education Foundation (ASEF) organized a scientific symposium in San Francisco on Slovenian scientific and technological achievements in the field of space, followed by a gala dinner marking ASEF's 10th anniversary. Ambassador Iztok Mirošič addressed the participants via video message.

Minister Tanja Fajon attended the regular meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, chaired for the last time by High Representative Josep Borrell. Ministers discussed the war in Ukraine, Georgia, EU-US relations, the situation in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa. Minister Fajon also briefed ministers on her recent visit to Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Robert Golob, today paid a working visit to the United States at the invitation of the President of the United States, Joe Biden. This is the first working visit of a Slovenian Prime Minister to the President of the United States at the White House in 18 years.

On Thursday, 26 September, Prime Minister Golob met with the Wall Street Journal management and its journalist Evan Gershkovich at the Wall Street Journal headquarters as part of the historic swap between the West and Russia, in which Slovenia played an important role.

As of 31 July 2024, I will conclude my five-year term as the Slovenian Consul General in Cleveland. During my tenure, I have endeavored to actively represent and promote all things Slovenian—culture, heritage, tourism, economy, science, etc., and to devote maximum attention to the activities of the Slovenian community here.

Ambassador Iztok Mirošič hosted a reception in honor of the Slovenian delegation attending the 2024 NATO Summit in Washington D.C. marking 75 years of the Alliance and 20th anniversary of Slovenia's membership in NATO for Slovenian community in the USA and representatives from business and science sectors. Prime Minister Robert Golob received outgoing US ambassador, Jamie Linder Harpootlian, whose term in Slovenia is coming to an end. He thanked her for her dedicated work and contribution to strengthening relationships between the two countries.

Prime Minister Robert Golob today received Admiral Stuart Munsch, the commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa, and of the new Allied Joint Force Command in Naples. They discussed the situation in the Western Balkans and the importance of NATO's KFOR mission for the stability of Kosovo and the wider region.
