  • 6th Latin American and Caribbean Days international conference

    The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, in cooperation with the Bled Strategic Forum, is organising the 6th Latin American and Caribbean Days international conference (LAC Days) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 20-21 November 2024. This year's conference focuses on strengthening political, economic, scientific and cultural ties, and on addressing global challenges through more effective multilateralism.

  • Slovenia, together with Spain and the EU, helps boost the use of AI in Latin America

    On 14 October, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs welcomed representatives of institutions from Brazil, Chile and Uruguay working in the field of digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI).

  • Political consultations between Slovenia and Chile

    Political consultations took place between Slovenia and Chile, which the Slovenian side represented by State Secretary Sanja Štiglic and Political Director/Director-General Mateja Norčič Štamcar. On the Chilean side, the consultations were headed by Ambassador Rodrigo Olsen Olivares, Secretary-General of the Chilean Foreign Ministry.

  • State Secretary Raščan and Chilean Acting Foreign Affairs Minister on 30th anniversary of Slovenia's recognition

    State Secretary Dr. Stanislav Raščan held a video conference call with Acting Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Chile Carolina Valdivia, stressing that Slovenia will be forever grateful to Chile for recognising Slovenia's independence on 16 January 1992 – only a day after a number of European countries recognised it as well.
