According to the proposal, the Prime Minister puts up the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food for appointment on the proposal of the Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia (DeSUS). DeSUS informed the Prime Minister, following a decision of the Party Council, that they propose a replacement for the ministerial position. Accordingly, Prime Minister Janez Janša today submitted to the National Assembly his proposal for the dismissal of Dr Aleksandra Pivec from her post, proposing that the dismissal procedure be conducted in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.

In doing so, Prime Minister Janez Janša thanked Minister Pivec for her government service in these extremely difficult circumstances and for her performance as the head of the ministry.
