In order to avoid any risk to human, animal or plant health, imports and trade in animals, plants, and plant and animal products between the Member States of the European Union must comply with the regulatory requirements laid down in the EU and Slovenian legislation. When animals, plants, plant and animal products and feed are exported to countries outside the European Union, the requirements laid down in the legislation of the importing country must be met.
