Slovenia takes pride in its clean, healthy and intact environment. Such wealth should not be taken for granted but needs to be protected and preserved for future generations. The state and civil society are engaged in various areas of environmental protection covering waste management, the protection of water, soil and water resources, the limitation of the negative effects of climate change, and the assessment of the impacts of human activities on the environment.
