Information society
We have undertaken to accelerate the development of the digital society and thus exploit the development opportunities of ICT and the internet with a view to becoming an advanced digital society and a reference environment for innovative approaches to the use of digital technologies. We will invest in the digitalisation of society and entrepreneurship, digital growth and education for a digital society, while promoting the innovative and intensive use of ICT and the internet in all fields of development.
Our strategic documents for an information society envisage measures aimed at eliminating the greatest development gaps in order to accelerate the development of digital entrepreneurship, digital infrastructure, and an inclusive information society, increase the competitiveness of the ICT industry, achieve overall digitalisation, construct broadband infrastructure, and improve cybersecurity.
Digital equality
We have formulated a strategic plan for co-financing the construction of broadband infrastructure from public funds. Our goal is by 2020 to provide broadband internet access with data rates of at least 100 Mb/s to 96% of households and at least 30 Mb/s to remaining households. By co-financing the construction of broadband infrastructure in areas where there is no market interest we will provide people in the rural area with access to modern communication infrastructure and high-speed access to the internet. People living in rural areas will be provided with equal opportunities for inclusion in the modern digital society, which will establish the conditions for the revival of rural regions and balanced development.
